“I wonder if he ever really saw me,” Prince mused softly, then, as usual, when he uttered a sentimental line, hardened in a finger snap. “That was bad,” he said, and I wasn’t sure if he was talking about Amiir’s birth and death, or his performance at the Super Bowl.
